Carl W. Dunlop – North Belle Vernon

Carl W. Dunlop, 89, of North Belle Vernon, passed away Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019. A son of the late Carl A. and Clara Mae Kenney Dunlop, he was born in Newell on March 31, 1930. A resident of North Belle Vernon since 1954, Carl was a member of the First United Methodist Church and worked at the former Fox Grocery, retiring in 1992. Carl served in the U.S. Army. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Joanne Vezzani Dunlop; two sons and a daughter in-law, Steven Dunlop of New Freedom, Pa., and Donald and Tracy Dunlop of Fairmont, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Kristin (Jason) Callahan, Taylor Dunlop, Katelin (Zachary) Kelley, and Zachary Dunlop; two great-grandchildren, Ava and Evelyn Callahan; a brother, John Dunlop of Belle Vernon; and a sister, Linda Chovan of New York. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Lori Dunlop; one brother, Howard Dunlop; and four sisters, Betty Skurla, Helen Bronson, Ruth Kott and Evelyn Sethman. Friends will be received  from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon.   724-929-5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Sandy Fitzgibbons officiating. Burial will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
