Many Mon Valley residents will take advantage of getting an extra hour of sleep this weekend.
However, local safety officials are asking residents to be mindful and “fall back” safely.
Daylight Saving Time will come to an end as the clocks turn back one hour at 2 a.m. Sunday.
Changing clocks around your home also serves as a reminder and opportunity to make sure your home is prepared to alert you of an emergency.
Many fire departments provide online resources and tips to make sure residents are safe by using the extra hour to replace and check batteries in smoke and carbon monoxide detectors — something that is easy to forget about during the year.
