Wilma J Kerestes, 91, of Monessen, died Friday, Nov. 1, in the loving hands of staff and many friends at Riverside Care Center of McKeesport. She was born April 11, 1928, in North Charleroi, a daughter of the late Harry T. and Edna Vaughn. She was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church of Monessen. She was also a member of the Holy Name Christian Mothers, and the Slovak Heritage Society. She loved her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid nature lover and gardener. Surviving are her son, George and wife Sara Kerestes of Springfield, Va.; daughters, Karen and husband Stephen Leshnock of Glassport, Patty and husband James Bradford of Middletown and Cindy Kerestes of Monessen; six grandchildren, Carrie Leshnock, Brett Leshnock, Elizabeth Gmelin, Alison Kerestes, Chris Bradford and Jon Bradford; six great-grandchildren, Kimberly Gmelin, Alexis Gmelin, Brianna Gmelin, Jameson Gmelin, Landon Bradford, and Liam Bradford. Preceding her in death were her triplet children and the love of her life, her husband George J. Kerestes. Friends will be received Monday, Nov. 4, and Tuesday, Nov. 5, at RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen. A prayer service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 6, in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Epiphany of Our Lord Chapel of Monessen. Interment will follow in Holy Name Cemetery, Monessen. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rhome Funeral Home Inc., Monessen. Service times will be announced in Monday’s edition.
