Ringgold High School officials have disabled student email access after becoming aware of inappropriate material circulated among the students.
High school principal Jason Minniti issued a letter to parents and guardians in the district Thursday notifying them of the situation, which was brought to his attention late Wednesday.
“This incident involved inappropriate messages, images, and videos shared through Gmail accounts and Google Groups,” Minniti said in the letter posted on the district’s website.
Minniti assured parents that the student Chromebooks include filtering software to prevent them from accessing inappropriate content and the Chriomebooks and Google Classroom are still available for academic use.
