Luke Gregory McCay, 38, of Charleroi, passed away Thursday, Oct. 31. He was born Jan. 8, 1981, in McKeesport and was the son of John W. (Becky) McCay Sr. of Parker and Coleen (Jerry) McCay of Fallowfield Township. Luke worked as a millwright for Edgar Thomson Works in Braddock, where he was a member of the steelworkers union, and more recently as a drywall finisher. He was an avid hunter and loved hunting with his sons. He was also involved with Charleroi Midget Football League with his son, Ethan. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 14 years, Erin McCay; sons, Hunter John and Ethan Reed McCay, at home; brother, John (Lisa) McCay III of Kittanning; sister, Lacey (Adam) Harkins of Centerville; mother and father-in-law, Linda Dyer-Pasquinelli and Donald Pasquinelli of Forward Township; brother-in law, Kirk Merling Jr. of Elizabeth Township; sister-in-law, Christine (Lonnie Maringo) Merling of Elizabeth Township; aunts and uncles, John Pastor, Adrienne and Joe Dusi, Greg and Lori Pastor, Maureen and Ricky Bean, Barb Lundberg, Kathy Koesuta, Joanne Walters, Judy and Herman Ball, Debi and Dave Daugherty, William Delmer, Patty Weber and Judy Goodfellow; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by grandparents, John and Katherine McCay; grandmother, Irene Kelecava; and uncles, Eric Lundberg and Earl Walters. Friends are welcome from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, at GILBERT FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 6028 Smithfield St., Boston, Elizabeth Township, 412-751-5000, Drew J. Gilbert, director.
