Warriors’ season ends with loss to South Fayette

There were large stretches Monday when it looked like Elizabeth Forward could go toe to toe with South Fayette. In other stretches, South Fayette dominated the Warriors.
The latter stretches proved to be crucial, as third-seeded South Fayette swept the No. 11 Warriors in the WPIAL 3A volleyball quarterfinals.
“All phases have to be clicking against a team that good. And sometimes when one was clicking, others weren’t,” said Elizabeth Forward coach Kameron Smith.
“Our passes have to be better, and when we get good passes, our sets have to be better and when the sets are there we have to find ways to find the court. It’s not one phase or another.”
