Three… two… one… liftoff, for Thomas Jefferson volleyball.

The Jaguars launched their 2019 bid for a state championship with a 3-1 quarterfinal win over Chartiers Valley at Moon High School on Monday night, qualifying for the PIAA tournament with the victory.

The Thomas Jefferson squad wears “#321” on their warmup jerseys and uses it on all its social media, as a reminder of where the team has come from and where it wants to go.

“We have a hashtag, 3-2-1. Our goal is to be number one this year. The last two years, it’s been three and two. It’s an end goal for us and we just really want to complete it, make it there, and work as hard as we can,” said senior Natasha Yanief.
