Magical season ends for BVA

The Belle Vernon Area boys soccer team’s record-setting season came to an end Wednesday as the No.4-seeded Leopards were upset 4-1 by No. 12 Blackhawk in a WPIAL quarterfinal at Canon-McMillan’s Big Mac Stadium.
The Cougars (12-3-4) got two first-half goals from Nolan Finkbeiner, his second and third of the playoffs, to give them an early lead they never relinquished.
