Bearcats, Eagles set for Class A clash

One team is fresh off what its head coach thought was its best performance of the season while the other is coming off an upset for its first playoff victory in nearly a decade.
Both will go head-to-head for a spot in the WPIAL Class A semifinals tonight.
Second-seeded Bentworth will face off with No. 10 Serra Catholic in a WPIAL Class A quarterfinal matchup 6 p.m. at Peters Township.
The Bearcats (17-1) advanced in the Class A bracket after defeating No. 15 Mohawk, 6-1, at Upper St. Clair on Monday.
Head coach Tyler Hamstra applauded his team’s effort, stating that it was its most complete game of the season.
