Fast start propels Charleroi past Brownsville

One week after suffering a tough Interstate Conference loss to McGuffey, the focus for Charleroi was to get out of the gates fast against a Brownsville team that had just two wins.
Mission accomplished.
The Cougars scored on their first offensive play of the night and cruised from there in a 63-0 win over the Falcons on senior night at Myron Pottios Stadium.
“I think if we (have a good start), we can start imposing our will on teams,” Charleroi head coach Lance Getsy said. “Our defense played well and didn’t give up any points, and our offense was quick hitting. We really didn’t get to sustain any drives because we had quick scores, but you take it how you can get it.”
