Jared Hartman inched closer to the school record for career touchdown with four scores through the air in Belle Vernon Area’s 58-17 nonconference victory over Plum Friday night.

Hartman completed 25 of 27 passes for 277 yards with touchdown passes of 5 and 9 yards to Hunter Ruokonen, 12 yards to Nolan Labuda and 14 yards to Andrew Pacak. Hartman also added a 1-yard touchdown run for the Leopards (7-1).

Larry Callaway made a significant impact in BVA’s backfield, rushing 14 times for 82 yards and touchdown runs of 7 yards and 1 yard.

The Leopards’ defense added points on a second-quarter safety and Devin Whitlock had a special teams touchdown on a 58-yard kickoff return.

Plum (3-6) picked up both of its touchdowns on passes from Ryan Hubner. He connected with Max Matolcsy and Logan Brooks for the scores. Tyler Kolankowski added a 51-yard field goal.
