The Serra Catholic girls volleyball team has dominated Section 3-2A over the last five seasons, winning the section crown each year.
The driving force has been a dominant Eagles offense that has allowed them to get ahead early in games.
“Ameila (Bogovich), (Lauren) Gaydos and Grace (Fazio) have been giving us a lot of offense,” Serra Catholic head coach Keith Trahan said. “They provide a lot of offense and (Brianna) Pasternak is a solid setter and she has played really well.”
That offense combined for 33 kills to lead the Eagles to a strong 3-0 win over South Allegheny to close out the regular season Thursday night.
Despite the loss, South Allegheny’s playoff hopes are still alive and head coach Jack Kelley was proud of his girls’ fight throughout the night.
