Smith, Vlasic competing for district justice post

Jim Smith and Wayne Vlasic are vying for an open position as magisterial district judge that encompasses the City of Monessen and the Pricedale and Webster sections of Rostraver Township.

The seat was vacated by Judge Joseph Dalfonso when he retired in May, and voters will make a choice between the two men in the Nov. 5 general election –– Smith on the Republican ticket and Vlasic on the Democratic.
