Barbara A. “Barb” Plevel – Charleroi, formerly of Monessen

Barbara A. “Barb” Plevel, 88, of Charleroi, and formerly of Monessen, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2019, in Mt. Vernon of Elizabeth. She was born on April 22, 1931, in Addison, Pa., daughter of the late John and Zelpha Parnell Wright. Barb was a lifelong resident of Monessen until moving to Char House in 2015. She worked for the Register of Wills in Westmoreland County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; her son, Danny; and her sister, Dolores Maise. She is survived by her son, Marty, his wife Jory and their son John; her niece Kim Russell; and grandnephew, Phillip Maise and family. Barb was an avid card player and bingo player. Her family, friends and her cat, Molly, meant everything to her. She was an advocate for members of the special needs community throughout her life. As per Barbara’s request, there will be no public visitation. A life celebration and memorial service in Barb’s honor will be held in April 2020. Arrangements entrusted to DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. & CREMATION SERVICES.
