Tyrone J. Seich – Van Meter

Tyrone J. Seich , Van Meter, died Monday Oct. 14, 2019, at his residence. He was born Aug. 6, 1949, in Mt Pleasant, a son of the late Charles and Helen Davis Seich. He was a retired steelworker, having worked at Clairton Works for U.S. Steel, a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Vietnam War, a life member of VFW Post No. 7812 of West Newton and a member of the American Legion Post No. 790 of Smithton. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Allen Seich. He is survived by a daughter, Darcy McGuire and husband Patrick of North Huntingdon and grandson Liam; two sons, Ty Seich of Van Meter and Jeremy Seich and wife Missy and grandson Jermey Seich Jr.; a granddaughter, Chelsea; two step-grandsons, Ryan Sitko and Austin Sitko; a brother, Jeff Seich and wife Lisa of Van Meter; a number of nieces and nephews; and faithful companion, Samson. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at L. L. BARTHELS FUNERAL HOME INC., Second Street, Smithton. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Pastor Ken Sommerfeldt officiating. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery, Rostraver Township. Military rites will be provided by VFW Post No. 33 of Greensburg.
