Stockdale
Donald “Beetle” Beatty, 70, of Stockdale, passed away Friday, Oct. 11, 2019, at his residence, while his daughter Renee guided him to heaven to spend eternity with her. He was born June 16, 1949, in Altoona, a son of Harry Beatty and Eldora Hays Beatty. Don was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was retired from Universal Seamless Steel in Bridgeville. He is survived by his wife, Billie Jo Beatty; daughter, Lisa Beatty of Fayette City; son, Jesse Beatty at home; two sisters, Patty Forsgren and Debbie Kuzynski and husband Bob; two brothers, Harry Beatty and wife Mary and Bob Beatty and wife Karen; and one granddaughter, Alicia Foster.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Beatty and Eldora Beatty; and a daughter, Renee Lynn Beatty, on Aug. 5, 1977. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019, at ELEY-MCCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC., 334 Main St., Fayette City, ww.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019, in the funeral home.
