MCKEESPORT
Howard W. Grimm, 79, of McKeesport, passed away on Thu., Oct. 10, 2019 at UPMC McKeesport Hospital following a brief illness. A former Glassport resident, he was a son of the late William and Betty (Bevan) Grimm. Howard is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Carolyn Reid Grimm; his two daughters, caring and loving Cynthia Grimm Watson of North Huntington; and Papa to three precious grandchildren, Thomas J. Watson III and Eliza F. Watson; and daughter Cara L. Grimm and her son Chase. Howard is also survived by his sister Betty F. Pozniak; brother, William G. Grimm, and also nieces and nephews. Howard graduated from Glassport High School and Douglas Business School. He was employed at the former Potter McCune Company and retired from US Steel Irvin Works. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed family vacations at the beach. Howard was a coach with the McKeesport Fillies Softball Team, a member of St. Patrick’s Parish, a life member of the Versailles Borough V.F.D., the Elks Club, AARP, and the United Steelworkers Union No. 2227. Howard was also blessed with many friends and great neighbors. Friends will be received in the DANIEL F. BEKAVAC FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 4504 Walnut St., Versailles Boro, McKeesport, PA 15132 412-678-3454 from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 13. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Oct. 14 in St. Patrick’s Parish with Father Vincent Velas officiating.
