Caren E. Harper – Porterfield Monongahela

Caren E. Harper Porterfield, 66, of Monongahela, died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2019, in her home. Born Dec. 15, 1952, in Uniontown, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Violet Slovak Harper. After graduating in 1970 from Monongahela High School, Caren attended a two-year program to become a Phlebotomist but mainly stayed focused on raising her family. Surviving are her husband, Samuel D. Porterfield, who she married in 1992; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Jennifer Molisee of Monongahela; three grandsons, David, Joshua and Michael Molisee; a brother, Larry Harper of Van Voorhis; his children, Brad and Leah and their families; a sister, Carol Harper of Monongahela; a brother-in-law, Barry Porterfield of Bedford; a sister-in-law, Sherry Jurik of Daiseytown; and her three dogs Joey, Macy and Charlie. Preceding her in death was her first husband, Ronald Molisee, who died in November 1976; and a brother-in-law, James Porterfield. At the family’s request services will be private.
