A Rostraver woman was killed Wednesday morning when her car collided with a tri-axle truck on Route 51 in Rostraver Township.
Anna Mae Selembo, 86, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Westmoreland County Coroner’s Office.
According to township police, Selembo was operating her 2004 Toyota Camry north on Gallitin Road shortly before 11 a.m. when she attempted to cross over the north lanes of Route 51. That’s when her vehicle collided with a 2003 Peterbilt truck traveling northbound in the right lane on Route 51 owned by Fleming Trucking. The truck was operated by Roy Waggoner, 61, of Monongahela, police said.
Waggoner was not injured.
Assisting Rostraver police were the Pennsylvania State Police Reconstruction Unit, Pennsylvania State Police Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Unit, Rostraver/West Newton EMS, Rostraver Central Fire Department, Westmoreland County Records and Identification Unit and the West Newton Police Department.
