Betty Howard, 76, of Donora, went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 4, 2019. She was born Feb. 5, 1943, to the late James and Marie Barker in Greensboro, Ala. Sister Betty moved to Donora and has been a resident for the past 48 years. She was a member of Whole Truth of God in Donora for the past 36 years. Sister Betty was a loving wife and homemaker and she enjoyed cooking, cleaning and listening to her gospel music. Sister Betty is survived by her husband, John Howard of Donora; daughter, Ruby L. Jones of Donora; grandchildren, Darwin (Shalon) Jones of Rochester, N.Y., Revina (Joe) Forsyth of Washington, Pa., Rayziel Jones of Donora; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters; Cora Benette of Greensboro, Ala., and Ruby H. Brooks of Cleveland, Ohio; son, Ricky E. Jones of Seattle, Wash.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Sister Betty was preceded in death by her parents, James and Marie Barker; two brothers, James Barker Jr. and Pip Barker; sister, Lula May Barker; son, Albert Barker; and two daughters, Angela Jones and Clara Marie Jones. Visitation will be at Whole Truth of God, 1004 McKean Ave., Donora, from 4 to 6 p.m. Oct.10, with funeral service at 6 p.m. and repast immediately after. Elder Marice Wade Jr. will be officiating. Final celebration has been gently placed in the hands of HOUSE OF JACKSON MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 546 Thompson Ave., Donora, Karl Jackson, funeral director, 412-379-5420.
