Suspect in McKeesport gas station robbery arrested

A McKeesport man is in Allegheny County Jail after allegedly holding up a gas station near the entrance to McKeesport’s Christy Park neighborhood.
Glenn Edward Durik, 29, is charged with a felony count of robbery and a single misdemeanor count of theft by unlawful taking.
Durik allegedly held up the Sunoco gas station on the 2100 block of Walnut Street shortly after 5 a.m. Friday.
According to an affidavit of probable cause, Durik entered the store just after it was opened by the clerk, who has not been identified. Durik allegedly spent a few moments looking at drinks in a cooler before walking to the counter with a mask on. That’s when Durik allegedly displayed a large knife on his hip, demanded the clerk give him money and then ran off.
