Eva Carrie Bentley, 90, of Charleroi, passed away peacefully in Premier Wash-ington County Health Center on Oct. 2, 2019. She was born to the late Paul and Mamie Shelton Reynolds on June 17, 1929. A graduate of Charleroi Area High School, she was employed by Volkswagen. She also worked for the state of Pennsylvania as a clerk. Eva was a tremendous seamstress and made most of her clothing. She was an avid Steelers fan and was known for her barbecue sauce. She loved to cook and was a wonderful grandmother, aunt, sister, mother and wife throughout her life. She had a smile that was infectious. She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Jeffrey S. Bentley of Charleroi; four sisters, Mae Rawls of Willow Grove, Pa., Florence Whitlock of Rochester, N.Y., Diane Fitzugh of Rochester, N.Y., and Jacquline Reynolds of North Charleroi; two brothers, Irvin Reynolds of Willow Grove, Pa., and Ullyus Reynolds of Virginia; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends; and a close friend whom she loved dearly, Maxine Sanders. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Fred Bentley; son, Gerald Bentley; one sister, Delphia Williams; and one brother, Joseph Reynolds. Eva was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses for over 45 years. Interment will be private. Arrangements entrusted to WILLIAM R. TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 645 McMahon Ave., Monessen, PA 15062, 724-684-4877, Trudy L. Taylor, director in charge. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the funeral home.
