Appolonia breaks scoring record as Yough shuts out SA

Justine Appolonia has always set her focus on helping her team win soccer games.
She never envisioned scoring over 100 goals or even breaking the Yough girls soccer program’s all-time scoring record.
“I just have always had the mindset and determination to want to win. And with that came the goals,” Appolonia said. “
A Youngstown State recruit, Appolonia said she didn’t know she was only three goals away from Yough’s all-time mark until Friday, a day before a Section 3-2A contest with South Allegheny.
