Alice M. Ritenour – Uniontown, formerly of Allenport

Alice M. Ritenour, 93, of Uniontown and formerly of Allenport, died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019, at home. Born in Pittsburgh on April 16, 1926, she was a daughter of the late John and Margaret Hill. Alice was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 801, Roscoe. Surviving are three sons, Ronnie Ritenour of Uniontown, John (Cathy Parrett) Ritenour of Smithfield and Walter (Teressa) Ritenour of Allenport; two daughters, Alice Glawinski of Perryopolis and Connie (Ron) Santo of Point Marion; a sister, Margaret Ann Woods of Ohio; 26 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kensey Ritenour, in 1993; two sons, Keith and Kensey Ritenour and Charlotte Shrum; three grandchildren, Tracy and Robyn Ritenour and Caroline Santo; one great-grandchild, Ronnie Povrzenich; four brothers, Sonny, Lee, Walter and Bill Hill; and two sisters, June Smith and Dorothy Hill. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2019, at MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 1008 Furlong Ave., Roscoe, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, 2019, with the Rev. Candace Cook. Interment will follow at Mon Valley Memorial Park, Carroll Township. The family asks that memorial donations be made to the funeral home.
