Police dispute reports of Donora burglary spree

By Mon Valley Independent

Donora police are calling for the halt of false social media posts after a recent area break-in.

“We are seeing people saying that all these invasions and burglaries are happening, and that’s just not so,” Donora police superintendent Jim Brice said.

Brice said police have knowledge of one break-in that took place last Tuesday, adding that there are rumors of three other home invasions in Donora circulating on the internet.

Police responded to the residence at the intersection of First and Allen streets after the homeowners said three men broke into their house around 11 p.m. and demanded, “Give us the money,” while holding the residents at gunpoint.
