KO snaps Elizabeth Forward’s winning streak

If Elizabeth Forward has an Achilles’ heel, it’s been the tendency to start slow in big games.

Warriors’ coach Doug Finke can’t quit figure out why it happens. Perhaps a lack of focus or maybe just not enough intensity. Either way, the troubling trend reared its head again Thursday.

With a chance to secure hold of second place in the section over Keystone Oaks, Elizabeth Forward came out flat early, falling into a 3-0 hole in the first half that proved too large to overcome.

The Warriors tied the game early in the second half, but battling back to win proved to be too much in a 4-3 loss.
