Port Vue’s police department has a new leader.
Council unanimously appointed David Petruski as police chief during Wednesday’s meeting. He had served as acting chief since the retirement of Bryan Myers.
Petruski is a 23-year veteran of the force and has spent his entire police career with the borough.
Mayor Brien Hranics said he has seen Petruski’s commitment and expertise and believes he will be a great asset to the community.
“I am grateful that council feels that I am the right person for the job,” Petruski said. “I appreciate the opportunity to serve the community.”
