Game film series will resume in Donora

The Donora Historical Society will bring back a popular event next weekend when it shows the history of Donora Dragons football from 1946 to 1968 through photos, game footage and stories.
It’s the second part of the historical society’s game film project series and the third event showing old game film at the Donora Croatian Club, dating back to 2017 when the first show was offered.
The event is set for 6 p.m. Oct. 12 at 329 Castner Ave. in Donora. The presentation will take place in the club hall with food and drinks available for purchase. The event is free, but donations will be accepted.
Last year, the program covered the football program from 1904 through 1945. Next weekend, the society picks up where that left off.
