Charles H. Cox, 76, of Monongahela, died Friday, Sept. 20, 2019, in Monongahela Valley Hospital. Born Feb. 26, 1943, in New Eagle, he was the son of the late Willard A. and Olive Leaver Cox. A 1961 graduate of Monongahela High School, Charlie began working in 1965 at the Municipal Authority of Monongahela, retiring in 1995 as chief of operations. For the next 20 years, he worked as a driver for Hilltop Bus Lines, and then most recently delivering prescriptions for Dierkens Pharmacy in Monongahela. During those years, he also worked as an EMT for Tri-Community Ambulance in Monongahela and was a member of Journey By Grace Church in Rostraver Township. Surviving are his wife Darlene Pritchard Cox; a son, Matthew Cox of Canonsburg; and two grandsons Bryce and Ryan Cox.  He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Willard J. and Dwight Cox. Friends will be received from 12 to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019, at the MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767,  at which time a service will begin with Pastor Tom Ravasio officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15205. Condolences can be left online at marshallmarrafuneralhome.com.
