Rep. Kortz hosting Senior Health and Wellness Fair

Residents of Jefferson Hills and Pleasant Hills are invited to attend state Rep. Bill Kortz’s Senior Health and Wellness Fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 10 at the Broughton Volunteer Fire Company in South Park.

The free event will feature dozens of state and local government agencies as well as non-profit organizations offering information on programs and services for local senior citizens.

Vendors scheduled to be available at the event include UPMC, Home Instead Senior Care, AARP, United Healthcare, Port Authority of Allegheny County offering free Connect bus passes and the Allegheny County Sheriff will be on site collecting expired prescription medications for proper disposal.

Other free services taking place at the event include flu shots with a Medicare card, blood pressure screenings, door prizes and giveaways and light refreshments will be provided.
