A Donora man is being held in the Washington County jail without bond, wanted on multiple charges in two states, including homicide and attempted homicide.
Brian E. Lyon II, 37, was arrested by state police in Rostraver Township after police observed Amber Gray, 36, also of Donora, meet with him in a motel parking lot Monday evening. Lyon is wanted in connection with a homicide in West Virginia and attempted homicide in Monongahela, as well as several other crimes in Allegheny and Fayette counties and state parole violations.
Lyon was arraigned Tuesday morning before Magisterial District Judge Jesse Pettit in McMurray on charges of criminal attempt homicide, aggravated assault, flight to avoid apprehension and possessing an instrument of crime and harassment. Those charges are related to an incident which occurred in Union Township Sept. 23 in which Gray’s brother, Melvin Gray, was stabbed in the neck, back and chest in his trailer on Dolly Lane.
“The last report I had, he was in critical condition in the hospital,” Monongahela police Chief Kevin Harris said of Melvin Gray.
