Thelma C. Van Kirk Fell – Belle Vernon

Thelma C. Van Kirk Fell, 91, of Belle Vernon, died Friday, Sept. 27, 2019. Born in Rostraver Township on June 19, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Oliver Harvey Van Kirk and Freda Hagerty Van Kirk. The youngest of 12 children, she was the last surviving member of her family. She married Bill in 1949 and together they owned and operated Fell’s Corner Store in Fellsburg for seven years. A homemaker, she enjoyed building jigsaw puzzles, embroidery, crocheting, baking and cooking. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen (Harley) Sickles of Monessen; son, David (Brenda) Fell of South Weber, Utah; grandchildren, David (Cindy) Fell of North Huntingdon, Heather Sickles Lusk of Roscoe, James Fell of Jeannette, and Brian Fell of Norfolk, Va.; and five great-grandchildren, Nicole and Nathan Fell and Kylie, Colton and Chloe Lusk. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Fell, on May 10, 2017; and her son, William A. Fell Jr., on Aug. 13, 2019. As per Thelma’s request, a private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the JAMES C.
