Carr ties Eagles’ scoring record

Serra Catholic’s Maddie Carr tied a program record with the 90th and 91st goals of her career in the Eagles’ 7-0 win over Jeannette in Section 1-A action Monday night.

Jaime Dermotta added a pair of goals of her own, while Lindsay Schanck, Nina Grandey and Hayley McCullough also scored.

The Eagles (6-4, 3-3) scored a pair of goals in the first half before erupting for five more in the second.

Jeannette falls to 0-10 overall and 0-7 in section play.

Serra hosts Springdale on Wednesday.
