Vulcans overwhelm Fighting Scots to win PSAC opener

It can be rather difficult to play against Cal U’s defense when its performing at a high level. 

Edinboro witnessed that first-hand Saturday afternoon. 

The Vulcans’ stingy defensive unit allowed 154 total yards and minus-four rushing yards in a 24-7 PSAC West victory over the Fighting Scots at Sox Harrison Stadium. 

Cal U (3-1, 1-0), which is allowing just 17.2 rushing yards per game this season, limited Edinboro (0-4, 0-1) to only six first downs. The Fighting Scots converted just 1 of 12 third down situations.
