Ronald G. O’Dell Sr. – Monongahela

Ronald G. O’Dell, Sr., 83, of Monongahela, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019. A son of the late Robert J. and Vivian Chester O’Dell, he was born in Monongahela on Feb. 17, 1936. A lifelong resident of Monongahela, Ronald was a peacetime U.S. Army Veteran. He had worked many years for the former A&P grocery and then Business Forms Inc. in Monongahela, retiring in 2000. Ron’s foremost purpose was to live all his days as a devoted and steadfast family man. His loving family thank him for fulfilling his purpose absolutely.  He is survived by two sons and daughters in-law; David and Laura O’Dell of Monongahela, and Ronald G. O’Dell Jr. and his companion, Stacy Poole, both of Pitcairn; two grandchildren, Julia Faye O’Dell of Monongahela, and Daniel Aaron Hess and his fiancée Deanna Newman of Finleyville; a brother and sister-in-law, Frank E. and Jeanne O’Dell of Fresno, Calif.; a sister in-law, Sandy O’Dell of Monessen; and a niece, Colette O’Dell of Monessen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Ann Alexander O’Dell, on March 31, 2016; and three brothers, Robert, Jack and Harry O’Dell. There will be no public visitation or services.
