Wilbur R. Harris, 92, of Monessen, died on Monday Sept. 23, 2019, in The Residence at Hilltop. He was born on June 15, 1927, in California, Pa., the son of the late Raymond and Edna Grimes Harris. Mr. Harris served his country during World War II with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater. He was a retired pipe fitter, having worked as a foreman in the pipe shop at the Monessen plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation. He was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church and its Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus Council 954, Mid-Mon Valley Shipmates, and a former member of the Epiphany Bowling League. A devoted husband and loving father and grandfather, he is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mickalina Sparacino Harris; two daughters, Carol Cocciolone of Rostraver Township and Michelle (John) Conley of McMurray; four grandchildren, Marissa (Adam) Cocciolone Nowak, Jason Conley, Justin Conley and Anthony “AJ” Cocciolone Jr.; brother, Arthur (Pauline) Harris of California, Pa.; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Duvall; and son-in-law, Dr. Anthony “Tony” Cocciolone. Friends will be received at DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be held Thursday beginning with a 9:30 a.m. blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 44 Pennsylvania Blvd., Monessen, with the Rev. Michael J. Crookston officiating. The following services will be held on Wednesday in the funeral home: Mid Mon Valley Shipmates, Two Bell Ceremony at 3 p.m., Knights of Columbus No. 954, Prayer Service at 6 p.m. Entombment will follow in Grandview Cemetery Mausoleum, Monessen.
