The Ringgold girls soccer team was on the attack against McKeesport Monday.

The offensive pressure paid off for the Rams, lifting them to a 4-0 non-section win at McKeesport. The Rams possessed the ball for a majority of the game and used good ball control to capitalize on their opportunities.

“We did a lot of good things a far a passing and we possessed for a majority of that game,” Ringgold coach Olivia Wilkerson said. “We were able to work on some things that weren’t working for us and hopefully we can utilize those in some section games.”

Ringgold outshot the Tigers 7-1 over the first 20 minutes of play. However, McKeesport goalkeeper Hannah Smith kept the Rams off the board making six of her 15 saves during the attack.

“She is going to be sore tomorrow,” said McKeesport head coach Anthony Jacobs. “She has been like that all year and has kept us in games every time. She is one of my leaders. I don’t have much to say about her because she is like that every game.”
