Being diagnosed with cancer is a life-altering event, and most people will celebrate being given a clean bill of health when finished with their treatments.
But what happens when the treatment is over and they’re expected to pick up the pieces and get on with their lives?
To help cancer survivors assimilate back into the world, Allegheny Health Network’s Jefferson Hospital and Pittsburgh’s Our Clubhouse have partnered to provide the Living Life Post Cancer Treatment program. The first session will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the hospital’s medical office building on Coal Valley Road in Jefferson Hills.
The free, nine-week course is for adults with any cancer diagnosis who have completed treatment within the last two years.
