Cougars shake off early adversity in rout of Mikes

Second-year Charleroi coach Lance Getsy frequently preaches the importance of overcoming adversity. 

Whether it’s a slow start or a certain ailment hindering players’ performance, pushing through adversity is all that matters. 

And it says a lot about the moxie of a team. 

Charleroi showed just how determined it can be, overcoming a sluggish start and a sickness that has spread throughout the team to claim a convincing 57-7 victory over Carmichaels in Interstate Conference play at Myron Pottios Stadium.
