Helen A. Yonko Manning – Monessen

Helen A. Yonko Manning, 85, of Monessen, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019, in her residence. She was born in Monessen on March 23, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Dacko Yonko. She retired from American Chain and Cable and Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel and was a member of The Friends of Monessen Public Library and St. John the Divine Russian Orthodox Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas “JT” Manning. She is survived by her brother, Basil (Dolores) Yonko, a niece, Andrea Kaltenbach and a great-niece, Melissa (Joseph) Baker, all of Wisconsin; a cousin, Ann Elaine Kline of Monessen, who took care of her; and her goddaughter, Deborah (Donald) Gregor of Monessen. Aunt Helen will be missed by all of her extended family. Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at ROBERT A. BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC., Grand Boulevard and Marion Avenue, Monessen, PA 15062, 724-684-3700, www.billicksfuneralhome.com. Funeral services be held at noon Saturday at St. John’s Russian Orthodox Church. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. In Lieu of Flowers memorial contributions are suggested to The Friends of Library.
