Positives emerge from Hounds’ defeat

First-year Monessen boys soccer coach Donnie Caterino has witnessed his players grow throughout the years.
He’s known most of them since they were young, watching them develop throughout the youth league in the area and up through the middle school and high school levels.
“I know what they can do,” Caterino said. “It’s just getting them to do it and getting them to play as a team, not as 11 individuals.”
Through his first four games as head coach, Caterino has observed as his team has endured struggles, suffering four losses and allowing 28 goals compared to just five goals scored.
