Hannah Henn scored three goals to power visiting Oakland Catholic past Thomas Jefferson, 3-1, in a Section 3-3A matchup Monday.
Henn scored back-to-back goals on breakaways late in the first half for the Eagles after being bottled up most of the opening 40 minutes.
Through the first 36 minutes of the game, each team only generated two shots apiece. Despite up and down action and numerous balls led into goal boxes, scoring chances were limited.
That changed when Henn took a lead pass down the right side and buried a ball past Jaguars keeper Maddison Sippey’s right arm with 3:13 left in the half.
