Sandy to enter BVA Football Hall of Fame

“Without question, she is the glue that holds our department together.” 

That is how Belle Vernon Area Athletic Director Matt Humbert describes Janice Sandy.

Nobody disagrees.

“Miss Janice” or “Mrs. Sandy,” as past and present student-athletes, coaches and staff members affectionately and respectfully call her by name, has served as secretary of the Athletic Department full-time since 2002 and part-time for years prior, dating back to when now-retired Jim Bush was AD.
