Leps top Warriors, 3-2

Daniel Sassak scored a pair of goals to lead Belle Vernon Area to a 3-2 nonsection victory over Elizabeth Forward Saturday afternoon at Warriors Stadium. 

Sassak now has 12 goals in five games for the Leopards (5-0) this season. 

Niko Apodiakos also found the back of the net for the winners. 

Elizabeth Forward (2-1) scored a pair of second-half goals by Andrew Smith and Max Salamkiewicz. 

BVA’s TJ Watson made six saves, while Austin Onofrey had three for the Warriors. 

BVA hosts Trinity on Tuesday. EF will travel to East Allegheny.
