Port Vue Council recognized the volunteers and founders behind the borough’s annual Fun To Be A Kid Day.
Eddie and Becky Jones and council President Mark Tortorice are the founders of the event, which celebrated its 25th year in July.
The Jones never had children, so they found a way to make all the children in the borough part of their family.
Eddie coached PVAA baseball and volunteered with his wife at borough events. When the idea of Be a Kid Day came about, Eddie Jones said they thought it would be a one-time festival, but it kept growing each year.
“It just kept getting bigger and bigger and here we are at 25 years,” he said.
