Community picnic to benefit Charleroi Cemetery

The Charleroi Cemetery is calling on its friends to help raise money for upkeep and maintenance.
The Friends of the Charleroi Cemetery, a non-profit group in charge of operations, is planning a community picnic benefit next weekend.
The event is set for 1 p.m. Sept. 14 at the North Charleroi Rec Park, and a $10 admission cost will include food, beverages, dessert and entertainment.
The menu will feature pulled pork, sliced roast beef, halupki, halushki, a sausage bow-tie pasta, fried chicken and a variety of sides and desserts donated by community residents and businesses.
Non-alcoholic drinks will also be provided. Alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase.
