Sandra M. Sopko, 74, of Irwin, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2019, at home. She was born April 21, 1945, in New Brighton and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Roberta Dunlap Johnston. She worked for many years as a real estate broker and was a member of Greenock United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gambling and casino trips with friends, was an avid antique collector, but most of all loved her family.  She is survived by her husband, Stephen M. Sopko; son, Scott J. (Becky) Harding of Manor; grandchildren, Scott (JoAnne), Christopher, Robert and Richard “Stickle”; great-grandson, Maxwell; sisters, Mary Lee (Chuck) Barker of White Oak and Judy (Gene) Uhlig of Florida. She was preceded in death by son, Robert Harding Jr.; sister, Barbara “Babs” Campbell; and brother, Ralph “Butch” Johnston. Friends are welcome from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, 2019, at GILBERT FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 6028 Smithfield St., Boston, Elizabeth Township, 412-751-5000, Drew J. Gilbert, Director. Funeral Service will be held following visitation at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Doug Johnson, officiating. Private Inurnment will be at Mount Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Township.
