Cougars too much for Waynesburg

The Charleroi boys soccer team has its share of great players, but one in particular stood out during Thursday’s game.

Jace Kepich dominated the midfield and started just about every play that ended in a goal as the Cougars rolled their way to a 6-1 Section 3-2A win over visiting Waynesburg Central.

Kepich and Cullin Woytovich finished with a goal and two assists each and sophomore Eben McIntyre added a pair of goals for the Cougars.

“Jace was really seeing the defense and all the sights and lines really well,” Charleroi coach Jon Ducoli said. “And he’s a player that can take a shot from anywhere at any time. He was really good tonight and led us in the middle.”
