Mary F. Swaney – California, Pa.

Mary F. Swaney, 91, formerly of California, Pa., died Monday, Sept. 2, 2019, at Country Care Manor, Fayette City. She was born Oct. 17, 1927, in Rostraver Township, daughter of the late Marion and Daisy Clegg Swaney. She was retired from International Paper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Kenny, Eddie, George, Marion (Bud), and Robert; and two sisters, Ella Mae Homer and Jeane Sanner. She is survived by a sister, Wanda Smith of Texas; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the L. L. BARTHELS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 227 Second St., Smithton. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor David Patrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Olive Branch Cemetery, Rostraver Township.
