Lillian Ann ‘Lil’ Tyree – Monessen

Lillian Ann “Lil” Tyree, 79, Monessen, went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Aug. 31, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Donora, on Dec. 8, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Daniel Tyree and Adele Lewis Tyree. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers; Thomas “Tommy” Tyree, John “Trick” Tyree and Charles Tyree; two sisters, Alice Taylor Stone and Martha Tyree; one great-granddaughter, MyLah Marie Satterfield. Lillian was a lifelong resident of the Mon Valley area. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Donora. You could always find her helping out in the church kitchen. She loved watching her favorite TV judge shows and sports. She leaves to cherish her loving memory; one son, Christopher D. Tyree and wife, Imelda, one daughter, Mary E. Groomes, whom she resided with, all of Monessen; one brother, Russell Tyree of Donora; two sisters, Blanche “Tiny” Patterson of Donora; and Nancy Tyree of St. Paul, Minn.; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Lil will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 6, 2019, at First Baptist Church, 541 Allen Ave., Donora, where funeral service will be held 11a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019. Eulogy will be given by Pastor Quallan T. Hawkins, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Donora. Interment will be private. Final celebrations are entrusted to MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, PA 15063, 724-258-6767, Marshall Marra, funeral director, Bryan Lawson, assistant director.
